Today I was inspired by another of Pantone’s Fall colors for 2011 – Emberglow Coral. I particularly like this color because it’s neither orange nor pink, and the difference from each is subtle. It’s a very flattering color to wear, and it pairs nicely with so many of my other favorite colors like aqua, teal, mustard, chestnut, and jadeite green.

For my latest collection of handmade and vintage finds, I chose to pair coral with a pale mint, drawing out the various hues in this gorgeous photo by Racey Tay. As soon as I saw that photo, I knew exactly where it was taken. The palette of soft pinks, reds, oranges, aquas, ivories and beige is so subtle but also has great energy and personality.
